Understand demand across each shift
Total headcount does not show when refreshments are needed. Consider staff present on each shift, overlapping breaks, visiting drivers and weekend working. A site with concentrated break times may need a different setup from one with a steady flow of users throughout the day.
Look at the gaps in existing catering
Snack and cold drink machines may suit short breaks. Coffee may be useful near a staff rest area. Smart fridges or other fresh-food solutions may be worth exploring where there is demand and a suitable stocking plan. Tell us whether your main need is an evening food option, faster access during breaks or a broader choice for the team.
Plan practical servicing access
The operator will need to assess safe delivery and replenishment routes, parking, security arrangements and the proposed equipment position. Confirm who can authorise access and report faults. Any electrical, water or network requirements must be checked for the actual equipment by the appropriate provider and site team.
Discuss resilience before agreeing terms
Ask how the operator handles stock shortages, breakdowns and changes to shift patterns. Confirm the service hours and escalation route in writing, particularly if your site operates overnight. A machine being accessible around the clock does not necessarily mean a staffed support service is available at all times.
How VendLocus helps
We review your enquiry and consider operators whose capabilities and coverage may fit. We obtain confirmation before sharing identifying details in an agreed introduction. You decide whether to proceed and agree equipment, installation, stocking, servicing and commercial arrangements directly with the operator.
Your location pays no VendLocus fee. Other costs may apply under the operator’s terms. A suitable operator, installation or commercial result is not guaranteed.
